Cooperation agreement (MoUs) signed with Ministry of internal affairs of Tuzla Canton

In the premises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 30.08. the Cooperation Agreement between the Tuzla Open Center and the Ministry of Internal Affairs was signed.

The agreement was signed with the Director of the Police Directorate, Inspector General Dževad Korman, after which we held a meeting with Denis Fejzić, the Head of the Office of the Director of the Police Directorate.

The goal of the Agreement is cooperation in the field of providing support and protection of LGBTI+ persons who have been or are exposed to violence, as well as natural persons and civil society organizations during the organization of protests and/or peaceful gatherings that have as their topic specific issues of LGBTI+ persons.

The goals of this Agreement will be achieved through the mutual exchange of statistical information on LGBTI+ persons who request protection, report a case or any other type of support from the Police Administration. In case of need, and if the natural person who reports the case seeks another type of help, such as psychotherapy and psychological counseling, the police administration will refer the natural person to the services provided by the Tuzla Open Center.

We are grateful and look forward to further cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Tuzla Canton.

The project entitled "Freedom of assembly as the heart of the fight for LGBTI equality" is implemented by the Tuzla Open Center with the support of the United States Government through the USAID Inspire Human Rights Support Program.
