The Tuzla Open Center held an education for public institutions of the MUP of TK. The training took place in the premises of the MUP in Tuzla, and was led by Prof. Dr. Dzeneta Omerdic.
The focus of the training was the new Law on Peaceful Assemblies, and during the course, there were useful discussions with officials who presented and shared their experiences from the field.
Prof. During the training, Janet presented comments and recommendations for refining the draft in order to make the Law as precise as possible, and she mentioned the international practices of European courts as support for her recommendations.
The education ended with a productive atmosphere, where opinions and experiences were shared during the initiated discussion.
We are grateful to Prof. Dr. Dzeneti Omerdić for taking her time to hold the education, and we are grateful to the MUP of the TK, which showed its readiness to work on improving the condition of LGBTI+ people and for future cooperation.
