Today, we mark World HIV/AIDS Day, day of remembrance, solidarity, and hope. 🩸
Since the beginning of the epidemic, HIV/AIDS has claimed over 40,000,000 lives. These aren’t just numbers—they are someone’s friends, partners, and family. Each lost life reminds us of the importance of prevention, education, and providing support to those living with HIV.
The LGBTI+ community, often the most affected and yet the most discriminated against, has played a pivotal role in the fight for the rights and dignity of those affected. Their strength and unity inspire us all to break down prejudices and work toward a society that does not judge but instead extends a hand of support. By dispelling myths and spreading accurate information, we build a world free from stigma. Using protection and getting tested regularly are not just personal choices—they are acts of responsibility toward oneself and others.
World HIV/AIDS Day reminds us that we can and must strive to create a better society—one where every person’s dignity is equally valued, regardless of their HIV status. Together, we can achieve a world with no new cases of HIV and no discrimination. ❤️
